Health and Well-being

MLA South East is currently working on two specific health-related projects in the region.

Health Information
Libraries are traditionally known as reliable centres of information and various programmes have been taking place across the region to enhance and develop this service. MLA South East is currently working with NHS Librarians, NHS Direct and Public Libraries to produce a regional action plan to develop and deliver an effective partnership between NHS and Public Library staff. For more information on the project, select the menu option 'Health Information Partnerships' on the left.

Libraries as Active Places
Libraries in the South East were encouraged to use and promote sport and activity information through a project funded jointly by Sport England South East and MLA South East. Choose the menu option 'Libraries as Active Places' on the left to access information about the project.
