Session for the Society of Chief Librarians South East

On the 13 November 2006, a session on Community Engagement was organised for the Society of Chief Librarians – South East Region. This was linked into the launch of the Big Lottery Community Library Programme and aimed to take a strategic look at the issues for Public Libraries.

The session comprised:

  • A presentation from Colin Maclean, Head of Community Planning, Kent Partnership/ Communities Directorate, Kent County Council
  • Presentation from David Baldwin on the Community Engagement project in Southampton Library Service
  • Opportunity for discussion
